How to play Fortnite on a Tesla

By Lation, Model Y owner · Updated

There's no Fortnite app for Tesla, but you can play it on the center screen two ways: through Xbox Cloud Gaming in the car's browser while parked, or from your own gaming PC with Gigaplay, which keeps playing while driving (for passengers). With your own PC it's the full game you already have, with your account, your settings and no hour limits, played with a PS5 controller connected to the car.

The two ways, side by side

What runs Fortnite Microsoft's servers Your gaming PC
In Park Works, by owners' reports (Microsoft doesn't list the Tesla browser) Yes
While driving No: it plays through the browser's video player, which the car pauses outside Park Yes, for passengers
Limits Monthly cloud hours for Game Pass members from November 2026 (Windows Central) None

Play Fortnite from your PC

  1. Have Fortnite installed through the Epic Games Launcher on a Windows PC.
  2. On that PC, go to gigaplay.app/pc, run the installer and note the code it shows. If Windows warns about an unknown publisher, choose More info, then Run anyway.
  3. In the car, open the browser, go to gigaplay.app and tap Open.
  4. In the Games tab, type the code. Fortnite shows up on its own, with its current artwork, because Gigaplay reads the Epic launcher's records.
  5. Tap Fortnite. The Epic launcher starts it on the PC, signed in as usual, and the game appears on the car's screen.

To stop, open the menu (the corner button, or Create and Options together) and choose End. That closes Fortnite on the PC too.

Controls

  • A PS5 DualSense paired with the car is the controller (how to pair it). The PC sees one PlayStation controller, so prompts show PlayStation buttons.
  • The touchscreen is the mouse: tap to click, hold to right-click. Useful for the launcher and menus.

Questions

Can you play Fortnite in a Tesla while driving?

Passengers can, with Gigaplay streaming from their PC. Tesla's own games and cloud gaming stop when the car leaves Park. The center screen is visible to the driver, so check local law; more here.

Does Easy Anti-Cheat block it?

No. Fortnite runs on your own PC exactly as it does at your desk; the car only shows the picture and sends the controller.

How much data does it use?

Up to about 9 GB an hour at full quality (20 Mbps, 1080p at 60 frames a second). On a weaker signal it lowers the quality instead of freezing.

Does it work in a Model 3 or Model Y?

Yes. Any Tesla with the Intel Atom or AMD Ryzen media computer runs it; the full list.

Tested in a 2022 Model Y in November 2026.
